Shine On Outreach is a grassroots movement committed to empowering diverse communities and advocating for vulnerable populations. Driven by a mission to inspire hope, raise awareness, and foster compassion, we work together to create a network of support and solidarity. Guided by values of social justice, dignity, and equity, we believe in the power of each individual to be a catalyst for change. Through community-based action and collaboration, we unite to spark transformative impact at local, regional, national, and global levels, promoting sustainable, positive change from the ground up. While we serve and support all communities, our foundation finds its faith and assignment in the scripture:

Specific needs for youth affected by foster care
What do kiddos need?
-meal cards and fun activity for sibling visits *Youth in foster care have experienced traumas: abuse, neglect, separation from loved ones, severed connections, and multiple foster home/residential facility placements. These experiences impact their social and emotional development. Youth in foster care need support to form and maintain relationships with family and other trusted adults. Sharing a meal and a fun family activity, such as bowling or soccer, is essential for sibling connection and belongingness.
-Comfort items like stuffed animals, toys, art supplies and books. Basic necessities specific to individual preference, like clothing and toiletries, can help youth not only feel cared for but also feel safe.

Following our hearts to serve others, we formed this organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
It all began with an idea to bring comfort to those shut in and in hospice care. We started with a cozy sock drive in 2018. Since then, not only have we continued to provide cozy socks but we have also sent care packages to children in foster care and care packages to vulnerable young adults. On Saturday's a family favorite is to fill up little libraries with donated books around the Greater Charlotte Area. The Food Service Ministry has the capacity to serve thousands, truly making a difference one smile at a time.
